Yay, one room challenge officially begins today! If you’ve been following along on my Instagram, I did a three-day countdown to this challenge. I’m participating in the One Room Challenge for the first time. So, to say that I’m thrilled is an understatement.
If you’re new here and wondering what is One Room Challenge, it’s an online event that challenges bloggers to transform a room over the six weeks duration from start to finish, sharing weekly progress. This event happens twice yearly in the Spring and Fall.
First, I wanted to thank Linda Weinstein for organizing the One Room Challenge and its official Media Partner, Better Homes & Gardens. Throughout the six weeks duration of room transformation, I’ll be sharing information about the products that I used. Make sure to check all affiliate links to find your favorite items.
For this challenge, I’ll be transforming our dining room. This is the space in the house where I left unfinished for months. I know I wanted more storage in it without crowding the small space. But I wasn’t quiet sure how. Thanks to IKEA which is my go-to for our additional storage space needs.
Are you ready to take a peek on the plan?
First, I’ll be adding a built-in IKEA hack. Then, our dining set and console table are going to have a makeover. I will install a wallpaper behind the console table and update the chandelier. Lastly, I will work on the finishing touches to make the space ready for the reveal week!
Here’s the Dining Room Makeover Plan- week by week:
Week 1: Built-in IKEA Hack
Week 2: Dining Set Makeover
Week 3: Console Table Makeover
Week 4: Install Wallpaper and Update Chandelier
Week 5: Time to Decorate
Week 6: The Reveal!
Now that you know the plan, I hope that you will come to visit for the weekly update. Thank you so much for stopping by! If you’re new to Organized Neatly and want to see all of the behind-the-scenes and sneak peeks, make sure to follow me on Instagram! I’ll be sharing my progress over on my page throughout the week.
It’s time to visit the other bloggers taking part in the One Room Challenge and check out their makeover plans. I can’t wait to see what they’re all up to! Click here for the linking participants and here for the featured designers.
See you all on week 2!
