One Room Challenge Week 5 is here! Are you excited?
The past four weeks of this One Room Challenge have been full of challenges, hardwork, and creativity as well as remarkable avenues to learn new things. From having a vision to making it happen! I have to admit that having a major dining room makeover is not easy to accomplish for one person but doable for sure.
I’d say the IKEA Hemnes storage hack and dining set makeover were overwhelming. It took strong will and determination to finish these projects. This week is my favorite because the wallpaper installation was the easiest. The chandelier makeover was on this week 5 plan but there are a few last minute changes so, I decided to not include it on the update as yet. More updates on the reveal day next week! Don’t miss out!!! Make sure to follow me on Instagram for sneak peeks in my stories.
Make sure to head over to my fellow guest participants and featured designers progress this week!
For our dining room makeover, I intended to create a focal point in the space. Since I’m using neutral wall paint color and most of the furniture pieces are white, I choose a chevron wallpaper. It’s a peel and stick wallpaper so; it makes it easier to install. I used three rolls for the entire wall. It took me 30-minutes to complete the job.

And yes, I’m making it obvious how excited I am for next week reveal! But I still have work to do. And oh, don’t be surprised there may be a few last minute changes that you’ll notice. The closer it gets, the more I realized that my creativity is intensely working. If you know me, I’m into neutral colors and minimalist style. However, this dining room makeover has pushed me to take chances on some unfamiliar materials.
