Organized Neatly Fall Front Room has simple decors, making it a cozy space. Gold and shades of blue are still the accent colors in our home. For this season, I used very selective pumpkins, which I placed in our dining area. That will be for the next post.
Whether I am organizing or decorating, my goal is to keep the project inexpensive without sacrificing the outcome. I am big on moving decors around to give space a refresh every season. Sometimes an item that appears to be boring simply needs a coat of paint and a little bit of creativity. I have to admit that it takes time to get the look that I aimed for; it came with trials and errors. But it’s worth it.
The minimalist look in every space in the house is evident in what I believe in- finding a balance between less and more.

Know your accent colors. Ask yourself, what colors do I want to see when I come home that gives my family and me a sense of relaxation and peace of mind. For me, it’s gold and shades of blue. Isn’t it too obvious?
Choose your style. Are you into a modern farmhouse or modern minimalist or your own style? Despite what style you are going for, remember that it’s your home. Do what makes you happy.
Add collapsible organizers (for easy setup and storage). IKEA is my go-to store for this type of organizer. I have the blue ones in different shapes and sizes in almost every room in the house. Although I also have different ones I bought on Amazon.
Keep only the furniture that works for you. As many of you know, this bookcase is my very first IKEA hack. I am glad I did it because it serves its purpose. Except for the couch and blue chair, I love it from day one. The coffee and end tables came in a dark finish so, I gave it a mini makeover. I painted it white.
Hang wall arts. Depending on your preference, you can showcase photos of your favorite place or your pet or your family portraits. I choose the latter using the IKEA photo frames. I printed the pictures in black and white to keep the entire space looking neutral with a pop of gold and shades of blue.
Add pillows. The colors, textures, shapes, and sizes are keys to selecting the right ones that fit your style. I recently bought these pillowcases, and I am in love. And oh, it’s also pet approved since Chase loves them too.
Add an area rug. Be sure it’s the right size. We all know this can be expensive so, take your time to choose a piece that you can use year-round.
BONUS TIP: Fall means pumpkins (a lot of them) and beautiful bright colors. But you don’t have to bring them all to your home for decors.
